Washing
- Temperature: Wash TENCEL™ garments in cool water, ideally at or below 30°C.
- Cycle: Use a gentle cycle, like wool or delicates. Hand washing is also a safe option.
- Detergent: Opt for eco-friendly, mild detergents. Avoid using bleach and fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers and reduce longevity.
Drying
- Air Drying: Lay flat or hang dry TENCEL™ garments. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat can shrink or damage the fabric.
- Avoid Wringing: After washing, gently press out excess water without wringing the garment.
Removing Wrinkles
- Steaming: Use a steamer to remove wrinkles. If ironing, use a low heat setting and a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
- Low Heat: Avoid high temperatures to prevent damage.
Stain Removal
- Immediate Action: Rinse stains immediately with cold water to prevent setting.
- Gentle Cleaning: For tougher stains, use a mild detergent and dab gently with a cloth. Avoid scrubbing. Baking soda or vinegar can also help.
Storage
- Proper Storage: Store TENCEL™ garments in a cool, dry place. Fold knit items neatly, and hang woven garments on padded hangers. Avoid plastic bags, as they can trap moisture and cause mildew.
